nyx worth the hype mascara review pictures before and after
Today marks the release of the new mascara from NYX, say hello to Worth The Hype. This mascara promises volumizing and lengthening and will cost you less than a Domino's pizza. I've been using this mascara prior to its release, so I can tell you if it's really 'worth the hype,' or something you shouldn't fret about missing out on.
I've been using high end mascaras for as long as I can remember, my all time favourite is Too Faced's Better Than Sex, followed by Chanel - Volume De Chanel. But to be honest, I'm a daily false lash wearer - so I've realised that it's silly to spend £25 on a mascara I'm just going to cover with thick long falsies.

The Worth The Hype mascara has my favourite type of wand, a fluffy, fat, soft head. No hard bristles, thank God. Yes, these types of brushes are a little harder to use and might make a little more mess, but I find them much more comfortable to use and find they always give a better result.

This mascara glided over my lashes effortlessly because of the fluffy, soft brush - the first thing I noticed was how nicely it separated each lash and sort of fanned them out a little. As I kept adding, I noticed a curl develop and no clumps. It made my outer lashes really flutter, and made them all look thicker and therefore, volumized.

(After one coat - no base products, no liner, eyeshadow etc. Just the mascara after application. No bottom lash mascara applied.)

It didn't smudge, there was no fall out or mess - my lashes didn't feel weighed down or really stiff. Over all, it's great - not the best I've tried in comparison to my high end loves, but for quarter of the price tag you cannot complain. This is the perfect everyday mascara, it's not insanely dramatic or black, but it gives a curl and extra thickness and really fans out little lashes.

*This product was sent to me by NYX Professional Makeup - however I was under no obligation to review it*
