NARS X Man Ray Double Take Overexposed Highlighter Review

In case you've been living under a rock, NARS just launched another limited edition collaboration collection for Holiday 2017. This year it's the gorgeous Man Ray collection, consisting of many collectors sets, an eyeshadow palette, and most importantly this highlighter. I'm so glad NARS have finally released a proper powder highlighter, in their main line they only have liquid and cream illuminators which really aren't for me and really aren't current enough in my opinion. Everyone wants a blinding highlight nowadays and NARS seem to be the only brand not to have released any. (Until now...)
I mean, let's all take a second to appreciate how stunning this product is, inside and out. Even the packaging box has gold mirroring around the faces - matching the equally as beautiful golden powder inside the matte black weighty compact with mirror. The texture of this powder is super silky, it is extremely finely milled but not buttery soft, like a BECCA highlighter for example.

The powder is amazingly embossed with a lip print, the lips sit slightly higher than the rest of the powder, giving it a sort of 3D effect. The shade name, 'overexposed,' matches the colour perfectly. This highlighter can be applied and give a subtle golden glow, it can be built up to a more medium pay off, and you can dip in to the lips again and apply another layer for a proper blinding highlight.

You can see above how you can layer and blend this highlighter out to suit your glowing needs. Making it extremely versatile and suitable for all skin tones. I've been using this on my cheekbones as well as my inner corners, where I pack it on with a small brush so I have a super intense gold - and also on my brow bone, using either a fluffy brush for a more subtle brow bone glow, or using a small pack brush to carve out my brows with golden goodness.

Remember this highlighter is limited edition so it won't be around for much longer, I'd for sure recommend you add this beauty to your collection. This is a such a special and stunning piece for your vanity (and cheekbones,) and it would also make a perfect Christmas gift for any collectors.
