marc jacobs make up, marc jacobs beauty, marc jacobs foundation, marc jacobs make up review, mac jacobs mascara, marc jacobs velvet noir, marc jacobs review, marc jacobs highliner,
Ok so public announcement: Marc Jacobs beauty is now readily available in the UK and I no longer have to sit drooling at the Sephora website, amazing. You can find Marc Jacobs beauty at John Lewis here.

As much as I wanted to buy e v e r y t h i n g, my bank account wouldn't let me, so there's still a little bit of lusting going on. I'd already purchased the Full Cover Concentrate Foundation and Coconut Face Primer from Sephora and fallen in love with both products, but the foundation very quickly became a new number one for me, it still to this day is my Holy Grail foundation, it honestly amazes me every time I wear it, I just don't understand, it's magic. And I won't miss an opportunity to tell you all again how amazing it is, it's pretty pricey at £37.00, but worth every penny.

And the second time around shopping Marc Jacobs beauty range was no different, I discovered yet another amazing product that quickly climbed my mascara ranking table. I had already heard quite the hype around the Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara, and my mascara was running low, so when I saw that sleek, black and chunky packaging it was straight in my basket. I loved the look of the brush head, I hate mascara heads that are really spikey and plastic like, I much prefer a nice fluffy fat bristley brush - and that's totally what you get here.
At first I didn't know if I liked this, but I've found that it's started to work so much better now I've had it a little longer and used it. This is one of those products that does exactly what it says on the tin, it leaves you with jet black soft lashes, with an amazing lift and length - and the fluffy brush catches onto every single lash. I apply two coats of this and my lashes are looking very sultry and luxe. And you're wearing a Marc Jacobs mascara, so why not flutter your lashes and feel like hot stuff?

My 'second best,' from my little haul was the Poutliner in the shade Nude(ist.)
I got this because it literally looked like my dream shade of nude lip liner that I just haven't been able to find anywhere else. (And maybe because the packaging looked really sexy too.) When it arrived I wasn't disappointed with the shade, it was pretty true to how it looked online, unlike most lip products. This is now my 'go to,' everyday liner, it goes with so many of my nude lipsticks and the formula is extremely creamy and comfortable to apply and wear for a long period of time. The only fault I have to pick with this is how quickly it wears down, because the formula is so creamy, the point flattens after every use, so it's a lot of product gone with each use, and for the price range that aint' too great.

Last, and certainly least, the Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in shade Mari(gold). The reviews on this liner were fantastic, and I really wanted a gold colour for my inner corners, so I got this really excitedly thinking I would have bright golden shining inner corners, wrong. This liner was so hard to swatch on my hand the point snapped on first use. I wasn't getting any product on my hand with a light pressure, and when applying more, the product not only snapped but applied very clumpy. I don't know if I just got a 'bad one,' because the reviews on the website are all positive, but I'm too scared to buy another one and waste a lot of money for it to happen again. Not what you expect when you're paying high end prices.
