GET INSTA READY FOR CHRISTMAS

ZARA BLACK STRAPPY POINTED TOE HEELS
As Christmas approaches the invites for meals out with work, friends and family come rolling in, and we all love to take a picture or two looking our best and having fun to commemorate the occasion. Winter is a great time to indulge in richer fabrics, deeper colours and sumptuous layers. Where at any other point of the year you might shy away from glitter and sequins, at Christmas time it’s not just accepted; it’s encouraged. So get those phones ready and party on.

FOUR WAYS TO BOOST YOUR SELF ESTEEM

how to boost your self esteem
There is a lot that can be said for our mental health and wellbeing. Below I have four ways to help you to boost your self-esteem, and it is as easy as making a few habits changes and starting right now. Interested? Read on to find out more.

HUDA BEAUTY FAUX FILTER FOUNDATION REVIEW

Moving on from my Stocking Fillers For Her, now we have the big dogs. Here are some gifts I've selected, perfect for the women in your life. I've actually purchased several of these items myself for the special women in my life, because for me it's always quality over quantity.

MY LAST HAUL OF 2017 - CULT BEAUTY

Beauty Blender Midas touch
When they say 'treat your self,' I don't think they quite mean spend 100 on makeup every week...but someone let me have a credit card, (why?) so this happened. How do I justify this? It's for the blog, It's always for the blog. I wish I could say the same for the seventy pounds I've spent on Domino's this week, is yolo still a thing? (Damn those new Chocca-Locca-Pizzas are my new guilty pleasure.)

I genuinely needed a new Beauty Blender anyway, so I was really happy to see Cult Beauty had their Christmas Midas Touch Bauble, which is great value. Not only do you get your Beauty Blender in a pretty Christmas bauble, but you also get a Pure Solid Cleanser all for £18. The cleanser is such a simple and quick way to deeply clean your blender, and I could never justify paying for it alone so I'm really glad to have it back.

THE FOUNDATION STICK BREAKING ALL THE RULES

Nars Velvet Matte Foundation Stick Review
I finally ventured into the world of foundation sticks, I've been eyeing up the likes of the Make Up Forever HD stick for years but it just didn't excite me enough to pay the price. But, when one of your favourite brands releases a new product, it looks great, sounds perfect, you know your perfect shade? That excited me. It's very unlike me to not read a lot of reviews before buying a product, and I've had my fair share of hyped product disappointments but thankfully this 'aint one of them.

NARS X MAN RAY DOUBLETAKE OVEREXPOSED HIGHLIGHTER (LIMITED EDITION)

NARS X Man Ray Double Take Overexposed Highlighter Review

In case you've been living under a rock, NARS just launched another limited edition collaboration collection for Holiday 2017. This year it's the gorgeous Man Ray collection, consisting of many collectors sets, an eyeshadow palette, and most importantly this highlighter. I'm so glad NARS have finally released a proper powder highlighter, in their main line they only have liquid and cream illuminators which really aren't for me and really aren't current enough in my opinion. Everyone wants a blinding highlight nowadays and NARS seem to be the only brand not to have released any. (Until now...)

A PAINFULLY HONEST GLOSSIER REVIEW (MUST READ BEFORE BUYING)

Honest Glossier Skincare and makeup bad Review
If you saw my Glossier Haul Post, you'll know how excited I was about the brand finally being available in the UK. I spent a lot of money and nearly spent more, I had massively high hopes because the brand and the products I bought in particular are very hyped and have a cult like following.

I hate to admit it and I really didn't want to believe it myself, but I am so disappointed in the products. More disappointed than I've ever been in any brand, the question everyone is asking is 'is it worth the hype?' No, it's certainly not and I recommend you really do your research before purchasing. I did not at all expect to be writing a negative review because I was expecting to adore everything and want to repurchase. If you want to know what went wrong, what was okay, and what was awful, read on...

URBAN DECAY TROUBLEMAKER MASCARA REVIEW

Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara Review
I finally got my paws on the hottest mascara on the block, after it being sold out everywhere since its release! It's very unlike me to buy a product without reading any reviews on it first, but I couldn't resist the packaging of the new Troublemaker Mascara - and I've never tried an Urban Decay product and not liked it. I've tried two mascaras from Urban Decay already and they were two of the best. So, if that was anything to go by - I was safe going in blind buying this newbie.

GLOSSIER IN THE UK! MY FIRST HAUL

Finally, I've waited so long for Glossier to come to the UK. I've spent countless hours lusting over everything on the site and debating shipping it over from the US. So when my boxes arrived at my door very early this morning, you bet I was so excited I was physically shaking. I know a lot of avid beauty lovers were excited for this, but this morning was like Christmas Day in my bedroom. I spent around £90 in total, but used a reps link so I got 20% off! (Highly recommend doing that, guys.) I really had to restrain myself, I was 'this close' to buying almost everything at once. So, another haul is inevitable of course. Be prepared for a lot of photographs and millennial pink...

THE END OF 2017: MY MENTAL HEALTH RECOVERY PROGRESS

Newcastle Vodka Revolution Cocktails
I can't remember the last time I did a mental health post, I always seem to put them off because they really get me thinking and that's something I've learnt to avoid. However I now feel like I'm in a secure enough place to overthink sensibly and rationally, and be able to control my emotions after.

Just in time for Halloween, say hello to the new Shades Of Black collection* by Rimmel in collaboration with Rita Ora. TOO FACED PRIMED & PORELESS POWDER REVIEW

Too Faced Primed And Poreless Pressed Powder Review
Being a combination skin gal, I find that I'm always on the hunt for the perfect setting powder. It needs to check everything on my list to make the cut: pore blurring, mattifying, translucent, not drying, not cakey, finely milled, and of course just good at keeping my foundation in place.

SOPHDOESNAILS X MAKEUP REV HIGHLIGHTERS & SWATCHES

SOPHDOESNAILS X MAKEUP REVOLUTION HIGHLIGHTERS & SWATCHES
It's not often I buy drugstore make up, but when I do it's because its super hyped up. In this case, it's because one of my favourite YouTubers, SophDoesNails has collaborated with Makeup Revolution to produce two gorgeous palettes.

THE NEW SKINCARE BRAND YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT: FORMULA 10.0.6

Formula 10.0.6 Skincare Review
Say hello to the new skincare brand on the block, Formula 10.0.6 - this brand is supposedly packed with natural ingredients that are designed to tackle troublesome skin. I've been testing out a few of their products recently which I admit did scare me a little at first because my skin is very sensitive, but so far I've really enjoyed them so here's the run down...

NEW IN: DRUGSTORE SKINCARE + REVIEWS

Drugstore skincare routine for combination skin
I used to spend a lot of money splashing out on high end skincare, I refused to use 'drugstore' products- so a bit of a skincare snob. But recently I've been buying pretty much every step of my skincare routine from the drugstore, I really think cheaper brands have stepped up their game majorly recently. The only high end product in my skincare routine now is my cleanser, which of course is my trustee Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm which I wouldn't be without.

6 REASONS WHY YOU NEED THE TOO FACED HANGOVER 3-IN-1 SPRAY

Too Faced Hangover Primer Spray Review 3-in-1 Setting Spray
Fans of the Too Faced Hangover Primer, gals with dry skin, dehydrated daisys, make up lovers, mums, grandmas, cats dogs, girls and boys everywhere, listen up. I've found your new best friend.
Despite loving the Hangover Primer, I didn't have any interest in this product until I found it in store and actually saw it in the flesh and had a spritz, and then suddenly I 'needed' it.

REVIEW: TOO FACED LOVE LIGHTER - YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE

Too Faced You Light Up My Life Highlighter Review Gold
I remember a long while ago now I was very excited about Too Faced finally adding more highlighters to their product line up, and when I first saw the sneak peaks of these Love Light Prismatic Highlighters and how insanely gorgeous they looked, I was pretty prepared to buy all three shades immediately. But, the reviews started circling and the overall opinion was very negative, which was extremely disappointing and surprising, because Too Faced rarely disappoint.

ZOELLA BEAUTY 'SNOWELLA' - 2017 GIFTING COLLECTION REVIEW

Zoella Beauty 2017 Christmas Gifting Bath Teabags Brew Me A Bath Bath Milk Powder
Oops, I did it again. I couldn't resist yet another new release from the Zoella beauty brand, I recently reviewed the Jelly and Gelato range (read that here.) I vowed I wouldn't spend more money on Zoella products because I feel too old, but when I saw the packaging of the Christmas gifting collection for this year- I couldn't deny myself the aesthetic pleasure. (And now I want the entire collection.) It isn't 'officially,' out on the shelves yet, but I found that on the Superdrug site if you search for a specific product you can actually buy them all, I've linked all of the products at the bottom of this post.

A CREAM TO FIX INSOMNIA?

Can smothering on this body lotion before bed really help you fall asleep quicker and better? Yes, yes it can. Hard to believe right? I was sceptical too. Fellow insomniacs, worriers, and late night shoppers - listen up!

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS SUBCULTURE + SWATCHES | OH MY GOD?!

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS SUBCULTURE + SWATCHES
ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS SUBCULTURE + SWATCHES
I got it, the palette that set the makeup community on fire and danced in the flames. I hated myself for clicking 'complete checkout' a week ago, was I crazy to buy a palette for over £40 that was supposedly "unacceptable," and "the worst formula?" I really wanted to have my two cents in the whole thing, so I got it thinking wow- I might of just paid £42 for a blog post.

LUSH JELLY FACE MASKS? GREAT OR GIMMICK?

Lush Jelly Face Mask Review The Birth Of Venus
I'm a big fan of Lush's skincare offerings, so when I heard that they had released four new face masks in the form of jelly? I was sold, I can't say I've ever tried a jelly face mask so this is something real new and exciting. I was very sceptical about these masks, do they actually work or are they just a fun gimmick?

THREE PERFUME PICKS

best womens perfumes Moschino Valentino jo malone
If you've ever wondered what I smell like, (as I'm sure you all do) then your dreams have come true- today I'm talking my top three perfumes. I love buying fragrance, and falling in love with new ones, but there is definitely a hierarchy within my collection. Fragrance is something I always invest in because I personally judge a person so much by their smell, and one of my worst fears is smelling really bad in public - I'm a self confessed perfume snob.

MADOTTA MARBLE - A BLOGGERS WET DREAM

Black and gold marble iPhone 7 plus case madotta

MY FIRST TIME TRYING ZOELLA BEAUTY - FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Zoella Jelly And Gelato Review and Haul Blogger
Shock horror - I'm a blogger that's never tried Zoella Beauty, until now. I'm sure you've all seen the new 'Jelly and Gelato' range, you can't really miss it, it's gorgeous. I promise I'm 20, not 12. This range promises to 'brighten, moisturise, smooth and tone.' Sounds good to me.

7 TIPS TO TACKLE THE INSTAGRAM ALGORITHM

GIRL YOU ARE THE BOSS TSHIRT
Everyone is struggling with Instagram engagement and growth recently, and yesterday it was revealed that they're actually taking 30-40% of your audience, unless you pay to promote your posts, of course. Big thanks to Facebook for fucking my favourite social media platform up, nice one guys.

The Algorithm means we're seeing posts from a week ago, and not in chronological order- meaning sometimes we never see posts on our feed from the people we're actually following. Unless you're prepared to cash out, it's a loosing battle. However, there are a few things you can do to help things along and ensure you're making the most of your audience, without paying a penny!

SUPERDRUG SOLAIT £4.99 FAKE TAN VS MY £15 BONDI SANDS

Superdrug Solait Dark Lotion Review
I recently raved about the miracle tanning product that was only £3 from Superdrug in this post. So of course I had to go back to Superdrug and try out some more products from their Solait range, which has recently been re-packaged and it looks incredibly aesthetically pleasing. I wouldn't of ever purchased anything from this range without this packaging luring me in, so credit to you Superdrug. Good move.

LIFE LATELY...

Best Krispy Kreme
Hitting you with something a little different for today, but this is something I just really wanted to write and I really want to start adding more lifestyle/mental health posts back into my schedule. I just wanted to share with you things that have been going on recently, what I've been up to, y'know? I love interacting with you guys and I want you to all feel like you know me as a person, and not just as a girl reviewing an eyeshadow palette. (There is more to me, believe it or not.)

MOISTURE OF THE MOMENT

L'oreal Hydra Genius Review
It's the moisturiser every blogger and their nan is talking about, and I hate to jump on bandwagons but this was released very conveniently in time when my cream had ran out- and on its introductory price, which for the amount of product you get, was a very good offer. I've seen really mixed reviews so far, it seems to be very much love it or hate it. Here's my verdict.

NEW IN: JULY + FIRST IMPRESSIONS

July Beauty Haul, Nars, NYX, L'oreal
Don’t know about you, but I still love a good old beauty haul! I’ve recently rekindled my love for buying make up, which me and my blog love, but my bank account and overflowing make up drawer don’t so much appreciate. (Honestly I think you would all die if you saw my current make up storage situation.) The next few months are gonna be really tight with money, I have to start paying my own phone contract next month and me and my fiancé really want to book up a mini break for Summer- so there’ll not be any new products in my stash anytime soon. Adulting is hitting me hard, I do not like direct debits.

JOUER SKINNY DIP EYESHADOW PALETTE REVIEW + SWATCHES

Jouer Skinny Dip Collection Ultra Foil Eyeshadow Palette Review
Say hello to what is probably my most favourite and loved make up purchase this year - in fact, I don't think I've ever swooned so much over a palette ever, and that's a big statement coming from a girl with enough eyeshadow to makeover a small country. I've never tried Jouer make up, but as you can imagine I now want to try everything, this palette has given me the best first impression. When Jouer announced their 'Skinny Dip' collection, I wasn't really fussed- I took a look on Cult Beauty at the line during my 'I don't even like make up anymore,' phase, that I was stuck in for about four months. (Dark times guys, dark times.) But, then I saw this eye palette being swatched on a bloggers Instagram stories and my mind instantly changed, I needed this palette.

THE ULTIMATE ONE STOP LASH DESTINATION

Unicorn Lashes Mink Rebel Smoke
If you're a go hard or go home kinda gal like me, and by that I mean either full face beat with false lashes or, oversized sunglasses, then you're gonna love the one stop lash destination that is falseeyelashes.co.uk. I used to order from this site on a weekly basis, back in the day when I swore by Eyelure 212 and 202.

URBAN DECAY - THE VELVETIZER

Urban Decay The Velvetizer Review
If you're a gal with combination/normal skin looking for a new finishing/setting powder, I've found your new best friend. Say Hola to this new release from Urban Decay, you probably haven't heard about it, or seen it, and I have no idea why. This is the ultimate dark horse of new releases, and I wouldn't of found it if I didn't check UD's new in page. Thank God for 3AM browsing. Urban Decay have been killing it recently with their prep and finishing products, they recently released their new primers and setting sprays- both of which I love by the way. I'm currently obsessed with their 'Self Adjusting' primer and Quick Fix spray.

JUNE MAKE UP HAUL

Cult Beauty Haul Review
I used to buy make up every week, but I'm at a point where I have a lot of products that are three years old and still only half used (disgusting, I know.) And then for a while I lost interest in make up and didn't really want to wear it, but I need to wear it because, well, genetics. I begrudge buying products like Beauty Blenders and eyebrow pencils, y'know, like the stuff you actually need and use daily? I only get joy from buying things I just want because they're new or they're pretty, so I put off repurchasing for as long as possible.

LIME CRIME DIAMOND CRUSHERS

Lime Crime Diamond Crushers Dope
If you've clicked on this post because of the major make up porn above, I don't blame you. Can we just take a moment to appreciate how damn gorgeous this product is before I even talk about what it is? Here we have yet another one of my impulse buys, I saw these had landed on Asos and added one to my basket within 30 seconds, just because it looked gorgeous. We've all done that...right?

HOW TO RENEW FAKE LASHES - GET MORE USES!

False Lash Hacks
I'd like to think I'm quite a pro when it comes to false lashes- I'm a gal that either goes full glam or no make up at all and just shove a pair of sunnies on. I've tried a lot of lashes, from £3 pairs to £20 pairs, I've been using the same style for over a year now, and they 'aint cheap so I like to make them last as long as possible.

NIP + FAB DO MAKEUP #NIPANDFABMU

Nip and Fab Make Up Review

Nip and fab swatches
If you haven't heard about this exciting new release by now, you've probably been living under a rock. And I can confirm that the hype is real, Nip + Fab have really killed the make up game with the new additions to their family, #NIPANDFABMU.
I've been using these products for a couple of months now and I'm already starting to hit pan on one of the highlighters, which really speaks volumes because I rarely get half way through a product, never mind hitting pan after two month!

BUYING MY FIRST MACBOOK - WORTH IT?

macbook pro retina is it worth it
If you follow me over on my Instagram, you might know that last week I took 'yolo' quite literally...
I've wanted a Macbook/iMac since I was 12, and with them being all over my social media feeds it only made my lust even stronger. All the 'bloggers' seem to be Mac users and lets face it, when they're constantly used in set up Instagram shots and as blog props you cannot help but feel inferior. I mean, let's be real here, you don't see someone sitting in Starbucks on a blue HP Pavilion.

THE TRUTH ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH RECOVERY

I always put the '' marks around the word recovery when regarding mental health because I don't think that's the right word, I don't think it should be called recovery because the word recovery indicates that you get better like when you recover from a hangover, or a cold. But you don't, you don't just suffer for a while and then get better and go back to normal. You don't ever fully recover. And that is the harsh truth, and part of 'recovery,' is accepting that you whatever you're suffering with will not ever die.
