4 SIMPLE THINGS TO DO EVERYDAY IN 2017 FOR A BETTER YOU

In light of New Years Eve...

SCHEDULE TIME FOR YOURSELF.
Pamper time! I always find a couple of hours every other day to look after myself and have a deep clean. I like to paint my nails, wash my hair, put on fake tan, exfoliate, apply face masks, the whole works. For me, looking good = feeling good, make sure you plan at least two nights a week to chill in your pyjamas, apply some tan, do your nails, eyebrows, even clean your ears. This is also the time I'll catch up on all my YouTube subscriptions, and totally ignore my phone for at least two hours.

BE LONELY FOR A WHILE.
Don't know about you, but being busy and around people everyday really drains me, and it gets to the point you really can't be bothered. You don't have to be with your friends, your partner or your family everyday- it's 110% okay to be alone for however many days you want, Obviously, it's unhealthy to be alone all the time, but just say NO to one days plans in a busy week and take a day off to have alone time. It'll re-energize you and you'll feel much more up for socializing the next day. I find I get extremely overwhelmed when I have plans for days, it gives me really bad anxiety, so I always ensure there's a 'break day,' between events.

BE ACTIVE.
I need to take my own advice here, I might possibly be the worlds most inactive person to ever live. But I don't mean that you need to hammer the gym everyday at 6am, or drink BooTea, just simple tasks such as walking your dog will do you the world of good. Sometimes even simple tasks like walking your dog seem like such a chore and I'll admit that I put it off most of the time- but when I do actually push myself, I feel so much better after some fresh air and some exercise. It makes me feel motivated and 'set up' for the day, quite magical what a little walking does.

GET UP EARLY, HAVE ROUTINE.
Oh God, I know, I'm sorry. But it's true, getting up early really helps, and I am living evidence. At my lowest points with my mental health I used to go to bed everyday at 3-5am, and sleep in until past dinner time, and even when I did wake up, I stayed in bed. 0/10 do not recommend. Even if you are feeling terrible, go to sleep at a healthy 'normal' time, and wake up anywhere from 7-9am, You'll have so much more time to do so many more things and when you're productive you'll, feel good about yourself. My mood is so much better when I stick to a routine, of going to bed and getting up at roughly the same time everyday, your body will get used to it and trust me you'll find sleeping a lot easier.

Do you have any new years resolutions? What are you planning to do differently, look after yourself more or maybe get fitter, or simply just practice self love?
