Non-Makeup Beauty Favourites

Besides all the make up, I'm also really into looking after my skin and body in general. There's a few products that I just couldn't go a day without using-even though it can all be a bit of a drag, it's worth it in the end.

To take care of my skin, I'm currently loving:

1. Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula With Vitamin E (£4.00),
which softens dry skin, provides long lasting moisture, it also claims to sooth marks and tone the skin.
This is the best body moisturiser for me, I've tried several but now I wouldn't change, my skins sensitive and reacts to scents or harsh ingredients, but this is Paraben free and barely has a scent.
A little goes a long way and it soaks in very quickly considering how deeply moisturising it is. I don't feel the need to use this everyday in Summer, but in Winter when my skins dry I'll use it every night after a shower. I love that this cream soothes marks because there's certainly a lot of scarring from self harm in the past on my body I would love to be able to tone them down.

2. Along the lines of that, I couldn't be without a bottle of Bio Oil, (£4.00-£20.00.)
I try to use this twice a day on my left arm to try and get rid of scars, I also like to apply it to scars on my face where I've very naughtily picked at a blemish.
I also like to occasionally apply to my thighs to prevent me from getting any stretch marks since I am still growing.

3. Tangle Teezer, (£10.00-£12.00)
I have very thick hair meaning that it knots and tangles easily, especially if I'm out all day and it's being blown about in the wind. My hair is also very fragile and damaged, although it is getting a lot better recently.
I wouldn't ever bare going back to using a normal hair brush, a Tangle Teezer makes my hair super soft and shiny and gets rid of all the knotting without feeling like my scalp is being pulled out.

Let me know if you've tried any of these products and what you're currently relying on to keep your body looking good!

  1. I have bio oil and really need to try it on the scars caused from blemishes.. I'm just worried that it will cause more break outs because it's an oil and my skin is no good with oil haha. I also love cocoa butter : ) xx
