An Ode To The Tarte Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette

Holy Grail status? Most definitely.
I was lusting after the Tarte Amazonian Clay Palette for such a long time and I'd convinced myself I'd never own it because the one place in the UK that stock Tarte (QVC, can we sort that out please? They charge separate shipping for every item in your order!), had none of these left for such a long time, on a whim one day I looked on the website just generally browsing and to my surprise this was displayed at introductory price on the home page, as you can imagine, my face light up and my card was straight out of my purse.

This palette, includes a double sided brush, huge mirror, lovely packaging and twelve gorgeous matte eyeshadows. (A mini primer would be a nice touch, just saying.)
I'm still undecided between this palette and NARS' 'And God Created The Woman' palette as my all time favourite.

The pigmentation of all twelve shades is unbeatable, one swipe of any shade and you'll see excellent colour pay off.
The texture of all of the shadows is incredibly soft, velvet like and a joy to apply to my lids, no dragging, no layering up colours, and despite this, they don't make my eyelids feel weighed down.
There's a great mixture of colours, from barely there nudes, to sandy tones, darks, purples, and jet black, this palette would easily take you from day to night, creating either a soft and gentle nude eye or a dark, bold smokey finish.
The huge mirror in this palette would also make it perfect for travelling or doing your make-up on the go.

The brush included isn't great but isn't completely useless like the little sponge applicators you'll find in a Chanel or Givenchy eyeshadow compact. One side is great for packing colour on as a base, the other, slightly thinner and lighter head is alright for blending or applying a transition colour, I'd say it's too 'big' for the crease if you like a sharp finish like myself.

If I had to throw away all my eye palettes and only keep one, this is definitely the one I'd be savouring.

I'm pretty sure these are limited, so if you can, get your hands on one whilst you still can, I promise you won't regret it.
It's amazing value for money from such a stunning brand.
